opinions on snakes
Sometimes friends.
I’ve gotten to the point where I can tolerate looking at pictures or videos of snakes, venomous and not nonvenomous alike. But I will only touch nonvenomous snakes under supervision. Like, if I see a snake outside, even if I can identify it, I won’t pick it up all willy-nilly, as much for the snake’s safety as mine.
message to cis allies: buying your trans friend lunch will do much more good for the trans community than debating transphobes who will not change their minds publicaly on social media and making all your trans followers see how much people hate them over and over again
if you base your trans allyship more on fighting with idiots than supporting and loving the trans community you may want to rethink things a little. bc i tend to get sick of when my cis friends want to talk more about how many people hate me than anything else about my transness.

#i only just realised the role reversal here#because luke is in a pretty dark place#he’s still dealing with the knowledge that vader is his father#and leia is his sister#but he can’t tell anyone#and it must be eating him up inside#and he tries to throw himself into the mission#hoping that everything will be okay#that it will be just like old time#him#han and leia#out there fighting the empire#but it’s different now#he knows too much#he’s too powerful#vader can *feel* him#and he can sense his father’s presence in return#and he’s hoping that it’s anakin somehow out there#reaching out for him#even though vader is grasping for him at the same time#and it hits luke that his recklessness has maybe gotten them all killed#as well as ruined things for the rebellion#and all because he wanted to be that young carefree hero again#in this moment he knows that eventually he’ll have to abandon han and leia#or their own good#he has to sacrifice himself to vader#and then there’s han#the scoundrel#the pessimist#the guy who was only ever out for himself#being the optimist#trying to cheer luke up#telling him that it is just like old times by calling him kid#and being his strength#han has become a true believer#he’s the man luke always believed him to be
